The Urology Group Named 2016 Best Place to Work

CINCINNATI (Nov. 21, 2016) – The Cincinnati Business Courier has named The Urology Group a winner of 2016 Best Places to Work competition in the >200 employee category.

The Best Places to Work program recognizes regional companies that score highest in employee satisfaction based on an anonymous survey of employees conducted by an independent market research company. The survey asks employees to rate their workplaces in areas such as senior leadership, team effectiveness, work recognition and benefits.

The Urology Group, along with the other award winners, were recognized during a pep rally-style awards ceremony on Nov. 15 at the Cintas Center.

“This award is a testament to all that we have tried to achieve together in our organization, for the benefit of each other and the patients we serve,” said Dr. Gary Kirsh, president of The Urology Group. “We could not be more grateful to our outstanding employees who completed the satisfaction surveys that resulted in this award. To achieve this honor in the same year as our company’s 20th anniversary makes it all the more special!”

2016 marks the 20th anniversary of The Urology Group. To celebrate this milestone, leaders commissioned an art piece to serve as a permanent representation of the staff’s teamwork and the business culture. The copper tree includes leaves decorated by staff members, each leaf symbolizing an employee’s unique contribution while collectively creating a beautiful work of art. The tree, which stands in the lobby of their Norwood campus, represents the group’s commitment to quality care, rooted in tradition while branching out to keep pace with changing times.

This year’s awards included 63 finalists and 15 winners in five size categories. The finalists were ranked by employee-satisfaction scores and divided into three categories: first-time participants, veteran participants and past winners.
