The Urology Group Named Finalist for 2017 Healthiest Employers of Greater Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (March 15, 2017) – What does it take to be considered a “healthy” employer? The Urology Group knows, as it has once again been named by The Cincinnati Business Courier as a finalist in the 2017 Healthiest Employers of Greater Cincinnati Awards.

This year only 23 companies in Greater Cincinnati made the cut, which is down from last year’s 29 companies.

“We are proud to be consistently recognized for this award,” said Earl Walz, CEO. “It’s more than just appearing on a list to us. It is a clear demonstration of our commitment to making our workplace and our employees healthier.”

The Healthiest Employers program recognizes companies that have made a commitment to making wellness a reality for their employees. The awards are based on a detailed application that includes a description of the wellness program and its components, tangible outcomes or results and unique or distinctive aspects of the program.

Understanding that prevention is a key to good health, The Urology Group encourages employees to participate in its HumanaVitality program. The program rewards employees for monitoring their health and taking steps for improvement in a strategic, programmatic way. The company also sponsors health fairs, free flu shots for employees and a free employee gym at its Norwood facility.
