Dr. Braun was the driving force behind a 2015 initiative to pay tribute to World War II veterans in honor of the 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe (V-E) Day. Many patients of The Urology Group are members of this age group, known as “The Greatest Generation.” As a gesture of respect and tribute, The Urology Group coordinated and underwrote all expenses for four local veterans to travel to Washington, D.C. to join the national recognition of V-E Day. Dr. Braun accompanied the veterans, who attended a public ceremony on the National Mall, received a tour of Arlington Cemetery and visited other significant sites in the nation’s capital.
For the past several years, Dr. Braun has also performed mission work in Chinandega, Nicaragua, in partnership with the nonprofit organization Amigos for Christ. During the trips, Dr. Braun provides urological treatment at Hospital España, a 100-bed hospital striving to serve a population of approximately 350,000. In addition to his surgical work, he serves the community by working with teams to improve the water and sanitation conditions, increase access to fundamental education and improve economic development.
“One of our organization’s primary values is giving back to our communities to improve lives,” said Dr. Gary Kirsh, president of The Urology Group. “Dr. Braun exemplifies that through his efforts in both medical and non-medical roles, making a difference in the lives of many individuals. His generous support and commitment to serving others is an inspiration.”
Dr. Braun joined The Urology Group in 1997 and currently works in the Blue Ash and Anderson offices. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists and the Large Urology Group Practice Association. Dr. Braun serves on the Board of Directors for The Urology Group and also serves as the Chief of Urology at The Urology Center.
