Celebrating 20 Years of Working and Growing Together

July 11, 2016

This year marks a special anniversary for The Urology Group. In 2016, we celebrate 20 years of providing the most advanced urologic care in the region and we want to thank each of you for the important role you’ve played in our history.

I am grateful to all of you for putting your care and trust in us. While our staff has made us strong, it is because of all of our patients that we have grown and thrived.

In 1996, I was proud to work with the founding physicians of The Urology Group to establish this organization. We set out to build a practice that would allow us to remain independent while providing the needed care to improve patients’ lives. Today, I’m even more proud to see how far we’ve come.

We’ve grown from 23 to more than 40 physicians in 12 locations and a staff of more than 300. Today we are one of the largest specialty groups of urologists in the United States and we remain dedicated to the same mission that drove us to start this practice.

Our success has resulted from many factors, most importantly the people.

We have a depth of talent unmatched in the region with the most knowledgeable and experienced physicians, nurses, technicians and staff. Through them, The Urology Group has become a true asset to the community. We have established a national reputation as urology experts and are regarded as a center of expertise.

To celebrate this milestone, we commissioned an art piece that will serve as a permanent visual representation of our teamwork. The brass tree entitled “Working and Growing Together” includes leaves decorated by our staff members. Each leaf symbolizes the employee’s unique contribution while collectively creating a beautiful work of art. The tree represents our commitment to quality care, rooted in tradition while branching out to keep pace with changing times.

We invite you to see it the next time you are in our Norwood location.

In the years ahead, our organizational journey will continue taking us in new directions and exploring new opportunities. Our 20th anniversary is a significant milestone on that journey, and we are looking forward to what’s ahead.
